A Night at the Braves

Tonight I went  to a Braves baseball game and it had me thinking, does art have to be still or can it be happening in front of your eyes? Can a scene from a baseball game be considered art? Most of the time I think of art as a still painting or sculpture which forever stays as one particular picture. As I looked out over the stadium I realized all of the perspectives that could be considered beautiful. The fans in the lower deck started a wave across the outfield and to me that moving scene may not be art in itself but maybe an inspiration for another piece. This post can be tied to my previous one in that I've been learning that art is less conventional than many believe it to be. Anything, through my eyes, can be art. The classic saying of, "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" is quite relevant to what I witnessed this evening. I hope others can take my experience and translate it into their own life. Next time you are outside take a look around and see what beauty you can find.
