I just came across an event that will be happening September 25th and 26th in Midtown that I thought looked interesting and would be a perfect event for this class. The Midtown Festival of the Arts will be located on Peachtree Street and the Midtown Mile this weekend. I thought it would be a good opportunity to see art other than the traditional art we see in the High Museum. A few of the events that caught my eye were the preforming arts shows including music and dance. We've talked about in class how atmosphere is so important to the works of art and I think the festival would be a perfect spot to get a real feel for what you experience.
