Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol was an artist and film maker who focused on modern visual art called "pop art". I wanted to post a blog entry about Warhol because he is from Pennsylvania, my home state. He lived from August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which currently houses the Andy Warhol Museum. He became famous through print and film as well as many other genres of art. He often used celebrities faces and original sayings within his art.

 I personally love his work because it is so unique and unlike any other. His pieces are short and witty but almost addictive at the same time. Even if you have not heard specifically of the name Andy Warhol, his work would probably be familiar to you. Andy Warhol is very honest with his work and that's one of the things that I admire most.
