Banksy is the nickname for a British graffiti artist whose true identity remains unknown to the general public. His pieces appear on public structures and often represent his stance upon political issues at the current time. These works of graffiti bgean appearing in the early 90's and is still prominent to the present day. Banksy's art does not just appear in Britain but in many other European countries as well. His style is very distinct and well known throughout the world. I think these pieces of art are even more interesting because the artist is so mysterious himself. Although the identity of Banksy is unknown, there have been numerous exhibitions created from his work. Banksy also created a movie shown at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival called Exit Through the Gift Shop. This film does feature Banksy but his face is never shown and his voice is disguised.
