As you know, I am based in Barcelona and recently has opened at the Fundació Suñol an interesting show. It is an exhibition of 27 pieces from the Josep Suñol Collection to help expand visitors’ knowledge of 20th-century art. It comprises works by 18 artists who played a key role in the field of visual arts in recent years, marked by a shift away from previous conventions of representation.
The Andy Warhol's portrait of Mao is certainly the highlight but interesting paintings include Antonio Saura's Sera painting from 1960 or the very sexual Nino Longobardi's Sense titol's canvas where hidden sexual acts are nicely covered by an innocent table with fruits and vases... very funny! I recommend this show.
